Roto VR Base fuses multiple technologies to enhance the virtual reality experience and deliver total immersion:
No more tangling cables
Many high spec HMD's such Oculus VR, Playstation VR (PSVR) and HTC Vive Pre physically connect to a PC or console using multiple cables (USB, HDMI, Audio, Power etc). Even mobile HMD's such as Samsung Gear VR or Google Cardboard require a power connections (USB) for extended periods of play.
This means turning around on a standard swivel chair isn't possible without getting tangled up. Even a slight tug on the cables breaks the illusion of VR.
Roto Expansion Packs use high precision slip-ring technology connect manage the cables passing through the Roto BV Base. through the Roto VR Base, which has in-build high specifcation slip-ring technology to manage these cables, so you can turn around infinitely without getting tangled up. See Roto Expansion Packs accessibility to plug in Roto VR Expansion Packs.
Motorised Turns - take a ride in VR!
Imagine flying through an asteroid belt, or riding the twists and turns of roller coaster, or being taken on a ride in your favourite VR movie. Roto VR is like a theme park ride in your living room.
Roto's quiet and dynamic motor can turn us slowly, or fast and in either direction (clockwise or counter-clockwise).

VR Movies, VR Games, VR experiences
Virtual Reality headsets can now place us inside the movie, but how is the best way to experience 360 content and (!) where should we be looking? Roto VR controls the experience, helping us to view complex 360 narratives without us ever missing the action. Just kick back and enjoy!
Using the Roto VR PC Utility, you can set up Roto as you wish - you can even program your own ride and share it with friends!

VR Headtracking
In virtual reality your head is the camera, which means you often need to rotate your head around to see everything, even behind you. This can prove complex, not just because of tangling cables (as above), or not knowing where to look (as above), but also because we can get tired of manouvering around a swivel chair which often leads to neck ache - so after a while we mostly end up just looking straight ahead, which means we lose much of the experience.
With the intelligent Roto VR Headtracker, exploring 360 degrees is now effortless, intiuitve, safe and great fun. Wherever you look, Roto will auto-turn to the most comfortable orientation for your body.
Resolves Yaw Motion Sickness
Physically turning in the real world is critical to enjoying VR without suffering from motion sickness. Any mistmatch between what is seen in the virtual reality headset and what is felt in the inner ear can lead to VR sickness.
See this video from the legendary John Carmack, CTO of Oculus VR:
Total Immersion
You can't really feel like you're flying a plane if you're feet are navigating around the base of a swivel chair - it breaks the illusion.
Motorised turns also enhance our sense of prescience in virtual reality, injecting a slight centrifugal force which reminds our brains we have body mass - yes, motorised turns gives us a sense of gravity when in VR.
